This giraffe topiary stands 14 feet tall, a full standing giraffe shape in clipped outdoor boxwood foliage over a welded steel armature. It’s a custom commission, built to the same in-ground, outdoor-install standard as the completed pieces already placed outside office buildings and along street-level planters.
The frame is welded steel, engineered to ship and assemble in sections rather than as one solid piece, which keeps handling and delivery manageable for a sculpture this tall. The boxwood foliage is trimmed to follow the giraffe’s neck, body, and legs closely, so the finished shape reads clearly from a distance.
Because the foliage is boxwood grown and clipped over the frame, it needs the same outdoor care as any planted boxwood — regular trimming to hold the shape. It’s built for permanent outdoor placement: a courtyard, plaza, or streetscape with room for a piece this scale.
