Two flat bases are built into the feet, which is what keeps a tall, narrow figure standing on paving, decking or lawn without staking it. The frame is bent and joined by hand in several wire gauges, heavier through the legs and body, finer through the head, the horns and the muzzle. It ships in sections, which cuts the freight cost and lets the body and neck be mossed and planted separately before assembly. Bare, the outline holds up from a distance, and the height gives it reach over a hedge or a low wall that ground-level animals do not have. Packed with moss and planted, the long neck carries foliage well and the shape stays readable as it fills in.
