Real moss, stopped in time.

Preserved moss wraps sculptural forms in the softest texture in the trade — real moss, preserved at peak, holding its color and give for years without water or light. It is the material designers reach for when a piece has to feel organic up close.

Interiors only, and happiest out of direct sun.

Why do designers reach for preserved moss?

Because nothing else feels like it. Preserved moss keeps the softness and depth of the living surface — preserved at peak freshness, it stays supple and richly green for years — and it wraps curves and organic forms the way flat foliage cannot. In biophilic interiors it is the material that makes a sculptural piece read as grown rather than made.

Where does preserved moss topiary excel?

  • Reception and lobbies — a tactile centerpiece that never wilts on a Monday
  • Spas, studios and restaurants — calm, organic texture with zero horticulture
  • Homes — shelves, consoles and tablescapes that want greenery without a watering can

How is it made, and what does it need?

Real moss goes through the same glycerin preservation as our boxwood — the process is on how we preserve — and comes out needing nothing: no water, no light, no trimming. Keep it out of direct sun and damp, dust it occasionally, and it simply continues. For moss at architectural scale, see the wall art collection.

What does preserved moss pair with?

Natural materials that share its calm: oak and walnut, stone, unlacquered brass, linen. In a niche or on open shelving, a single moss form reads as the room’s quiet point; against glass and steel it does the opposite job, softening an interior that has none. Designers often run moss pieces in series — three forms, one material — because the texture repeats beautifully where color would tire.

Questions about preserved moss topiary

Is preserved moss alive?

No — it was alive, and preserving stopped it at its best. That is why it needs nothing and stays soft.
