Thirty-six inches across against 26.5 tall, so it sits low and wide. It is the broader of the two Chateau jars, and the difference between them is worth understanding before ordering: this one spreads, the other stands up.
Low and wide is the proportion for a piece that should not gain height from its container — a mature ball that is already at the right level, or a spreading form that wants a base as broad as it is. Choosing the plant matters more than choosing the pot here: boxwood in a container, cultivar by cultivar.
Rustic terra cotta is the name of the finish, not the material: like the rest of the Chateau de Maisons range this is glazed pottery, with bare clay left at the rim and base. Delivered by freight on a pallet. We work out the delivery cost and agree it with you before the piece ships, so nothing is charged until you have the figure.
