Hanging Striped Urchin with Air Plant (Large)

A dried, striped sea urchin shell forms the shade for this hanging air plant, with the plant’s silver-green leaves flaring out beneath the shell like a jellyfish. Sized large, it hangs from a length of fishing line so the plant sits at eye level on a wall, window, or shelf. The air plant is included and needs no soil or pot; it draws water and nutrients through its leaves rather than roots. Mist it two to three times a week, more often in dry indoor air, and give it bright, indirect light rather than direct midday sun. Good air circulation matters too, so avoid sealing it inside a closed case or terrarium without airflow. Because it’s a real, living air plant, it will eventually produce offsets at its base as it matures, and the parent plant can be left in place or the pups separated once established. The urchin shell itself is fixed and won’t change; only the plant beneath it needs the occasional misting to stay healthy.
