A preserved juniper bonsai carrying two tiers of foliage on one trunk, set into a hand-carved teak vessel. The planting stands about 17 inches tall, 14 inches long and 13 inches deep; the teak under it measures 12 by 8 inches and 4 inches deep.
The teak is sustainably sourced and carved with the live edge left on, so the rim of every vessel follows the shape of the timber it was cut from. Curves, grain and depth vary from one to the next.
The juniper is preserved at maturity rather than grown on, which is what holds the color without water or light. There is nothing to prune. Keep it indoors and out of direct sun.
