A sitting bear, 14 inches high, 8.5 inches wide and 9.5 inches deep, with its frame packed in natural sphagnum moss from the Oregon mountains. That moss is why this one looks the way it does. It goes on green rather than pre-dyed, so the color runs uneven and a little wild, closer to something found than something manufactured.
Underneath is hand-crafted, powder-coated wire, and on a piece this small the green wire reads through the moss as part of the finish rather than as something to hide. At 14 inches it is a shelf or tabletop bear: a mantel, a hall console, a counter at the door of a shop, a table centre for an event.
There is nothing to water and nothing to trim. If you would rather it grew, the moss is packed tightly enough to plant into.
Every one is made by hand, so the dimensions given are approximate and no two come out identical.
