The Golden Retriever topiary frame arrives as bare wire: a standing dog drawn in powder-coated rod and mesh, 31 inches high, 44 inches nose to tail and 11 inches across. The chest, haunches and feathered tail are shaped into the wire, and small dark eyes are set into the head.
An empty frame does two jobs. Left bare it stands as a sculpture indoors or out, and it is the version used for gift baskets, shop displays and event dressing. Packed with sphagnum moss it turns into a planter, and plants root into the moss and grow out over the wire until the frame disappears under them.
It is built in sections, which keeps the shipping box smaller and lets you moss and plant one part at a time before it goes together.
Dimensions are approximate. Each frame is hand-made, so no two are identical.
