This golden retriever topiary stands 31 inches high, 44 inches long and 11 inches wide, captured mid-stride with its tail extended and head level.
The shape is built on hand-crafted, powder-coated wire of several gauges, then packed with sphagnum moss for a solid, furred outline rather than bare wire. Because each frame is filled by hand, the finished size is a close approximation and no two dogs come out identical.
At 44 inches long it reads best with room to walk around it — a lawn, a wide bed or either side of an entry path — rather than a tight corner where the length gets cut off.
The moss fill is decorative, not a living plant, so there’s no watering or trimming to keep up; the shape stays as delivered and goes straight into the garden.
