Sitting German Shepherd Topiary Frame, 36 inch

A German Shepherd sitting upright, 36 inches high, 44 inches long and 16 inches deep, built by hand from powder-coated wire in several gauges. The heavier wires form the structural cage; the finer ones draw the head, the pricked ears and the line of the chest and forelegs, so the breed is legible from across a garden rather than only up close. It arrives in sections. That keeps the freight cost down, and it also means the body can be mossed and planted on its own before assembly, which is far easier than working around a finished figure. Standing bare, it works as sculpture on a lawn, in a courtyard or either side of a gate, and the black wire keeps its shape through the winter. Packed with moss and planted, the wire disappears as the foliage knits over it. Every frame is shaped by hand, so the dimensions above are approximate and no two are identical.
