An emerald green arborvitae, preserved at 72 inches and cut to a dense narrow cone that tapers evenly from base to tip. Preservation keeps the colour and the fine flat sprays of the living plant and holds them without water, daylight or trimming.
Height is what this one is for. At six feet the cone carries above eye level, so a pair either side of a doorway frames the opening properly and a single one fills a corner that a tabletop plant leaves looking bare. The footprint stays narrow, which matters in a corridor, a shop entrance or a lobby where the floor is already spoken for. It goes where a live conifer will not last: interiors with no daylight, covered entrances, offices, restaurants and hotel public rooms.
