A globe is the shape most gardeners try first and the hardest to keep even by eye. This frame is the fix. It is a welded steel sphere that sits over a live boxwood and turns around it, so you clip back to the wire, rotate, clip again, and the plant meets the same line all the way round.
It is made to the plant rather than the other way about. Tell us the shrub or the pot and we build the sphere to suit. The frame then stays over the boxwood as it grows, which is what stops a globe drifting out of shape between trims.
The photograph shows the frame beside a boxwood in its nursery pot, which is how it arrives: a bare steel cage, no foliage. Use it on a potted boxwood at a doorway, on a pair flanking steps, on a shrub in a bed, or on a plant kept indoors.
The plant is the part that stays alive, so feed, water and trim it as you would anyway. Instructions come with the frame, and there are videos covering globes, cones, rabbits and squirrels. Ask for a quote with the size you need.
