Turf topiary is a rigid internal steel frame and a fiberglass shell covered in artificial grass instead of live plants. It needs no water, no light and no trimming, and it holds its color for several years in full sun. So it is the usual answer for public sites, playgrounds and anywhere nobody will be maintaining the piece. Every dinosaur and large figure in this category is made this way.

These are life-size sculptures in dense artificial turf over a fiberglass shell: T-Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus and Pterodactyl from four feet to eighteen, plus gorillas, pandas, swans and one grand piano. They are engineered for the outdoors year round, from −58°F to 122°F, with anti-vandal mounting for public sites.

Which dinosaurs are in the collection?

Can I order a different size or creature?

How are the big pieces delivered and installed?
By freight, braced upright on a pallet or in a crate, and the carrier calls ahead. The process is on delivery & receiving.
On site, smaller pieces stand on their own or pin into soil. Public installations anchor with the included fasteners, so the crowd can photograph them but not move them.

How long does the turf last outdoors?
Several years in full sun, longer in part shade. The covering is UV-rated for outdoor use, and the galvanized frame lasts far longer, so a faded piece is re-covered, not replaced.
Does turf topiary need any upkeep?
Only an occasional rinse. There is no watering, no trimming and no seasonal work.
Is turf topiary safe in a public space?
Pieces over six feet carry internal steel tubing and are anchored to a footing. They are built not to fold if someone climbs one, although climbing is not what they are for.
