Artificial Topiary Trees
Artificial topiary trees bring the shape of a clipped boxwood, cypress or bay tree indoors, with no light or water to worry about. Faux boxwood topiary standards, spirals and tall trees suit lobbies, hallways, restaurants and dim corners where a live tree would drop its leaves. Some are made for outdoors too. Tell us where yours will stand and we will point you to the right one.

Why choose artificial topiary trees
An artificial topiary tree is a faux tree with a clipped, formal outline: a cypress, a spiral, a ball on a trunk. It holds that shape with no light, water or pruning. Two questions sort the whole range, and the rows below follow them. Will the tree stand indoors or outdoors, and how much height and width does the spot give it?

Large artificial trees for indoor spaces
A tall tree fills the height of an atrium or a double-height lobby in a way a row of small plants cannot. The podocarpus tree stands 8 ft tall and about 24 in wide on a weighted base. The 6 ft bay laurel is the other tall indoor choice.
Both are indoor only. Measure the ceiling before you order, and leave room above the tip so the tree does not look squeezed. Trees this tall travel by freight and are quoted with delivery.

Artificial trees for outdoors
Outdoors, ask about the grade first. The full outdoor grade is made for sun all year, and the azalea double ball, the tall cypress trees and the 4 ft boxwood double ball are that grade. Others are a lighter UV grade for part shade, and some trees are indoor only.
The names do not reliably show which is which, so tell us where the tree will stand. The azalea is worth a look if your patio is all green already. Its pink flowers sit on a natural wood trunk.

Boxwood ball trees for a shop entrance
A ball on a trunk is the classic topiary tree, and a pair is the classic way to use it. Two of them either side of a shop door or a restaurant entrance mark the way in and take up little floor space.
The 24 in boxwood ball tree has a natural wood trunk and a black weighted base. It is the lighter UV grade, so it suits a door under an awning or a porch roof. Order the pair together. Dye batches vary slightly, and two trees from one batch will match.

Slim trees for narrow spots
Some spaces have height but no width: a hallway, the gap beside an elevator, the end of a restaurant booth. A spiral or a cypress fits there. The double spiral cypress is about 14 in wide, and the single spiral about 12 in.
The double spirals are indoor pieces on a metal pole frame with a weighted base, and the decorative pot is sold separately. For a spiral that can go outside, see artificial spiral topiary.
Questions about Artificial Topiary Trees
What are artificial topiary trees made of?
Plastic foliage on a wire frame or a trunk. Several have natural wood trunks, and the bay laurel has polyester leaves on a painted synthetic trunk. How to tell good artificial topiary from bad shows what to look for in the photographs.
Do artificial topiary trees work in a dark room?
Yes. Artificial foliage needs no light, so a windowless lobby or hallway is fine. A sunny window is the harder spot: window glass lets through the UV that fades plastic, so choose an outdoor grade there.
Can I put artificial topiary trees outside?
Some of them. Ten pieces here are the full outdoor grade and seven are a lighter UV grade for part shade; five are indoor only. Ask us which grade a piece is, or shop outdoor artificial topiary.
Do they come with a planter?
No. The tall trees come on a weighted base or a bare trunk, and the decorative pot is sold separately. Tell us the planter you are using and we will confirm the piece sits right in it, or choose one from our planters.
Can you match a specific height or shape?
Yes. Custom heights and forms are quoted to order. Send the dimensions and the shape, and we will quote the piece with delivery. Start with custom made topiary.
How tall do your artificial topiary trees go?
Up to 12 ft. The cypress tree runs from 6 ft to 12 ft, and the spiral cypress stands 10 ft. Trees this size ship by freight and are quoted with delivery, so ask for a price to your address.
