A artificial English boxwood ball, UV-rated for outdoor use and supplied as one piece. The foliage is a Polyblend PVC fabric in tutone green, cut to the narrow pointed leaf of the Buxus family, built over a wire frame with a support rod through it. The ball is hollow inside, which keeps the weight down for setting into a planter or hanging. This is a specification for commercial exteriors and the wear that comes with them: hotel entrances, restaurant frontages, lobbies, entranceways, and garden schemes where a live boxwood ball would need clipping and feeding to hold the same outline. The premium Polyblend formula and colorants carry a 5-year fade warranty, which is the number to hold any competing outdoor artificial against, because fading is what gives cheap outdoor foliage away by the second summer. Fire-retardant treatment can be specified as a special order for interior schemes that require it.
