Boxwood Ball Topiary, Artificial, 20–30 in

Thirty inches across, this is the large end of the artificial boxwood balls, wide enough to fill a planter on its own rather than sit in a group. The foliage is plastic in a small-leaf boxwood pattern, 2,898 tips across the surface, UV rated so the green holds up outdoors. Under the foliage it is all wire frame, with a weighted base and a steel pipe running up the centre. That is what keeps a ball this size sitting upright in wind and lets it drop into a planter or a permanent pot without extra ballast. It works on its own at an entrance, in pairs either side of a door, spaced along a terrace, a rooftop or a courtyard, and indoors where a live boxwood would not get the light it needs. Because it does not root, it also suits paving, decking and rooftops where there is no soil at all. There is nothing to water, feed or clip, and no seasonal die-back to plan around.
