Empty is a finish in its own right here. The outline is complete enough to work as a garden sculpture just as it stands, on a lawn, a gravel drive, beside a stable door or on a display table at a show. Fill it with sphagnum moss, plant ivy or creeping fig at the base, and it turns into a green horse as the growth climbs the wire. There is nothing on the frame to keep alive, so watering only begins once you plant it. It arrives in sections, which keeps the shipping box manageable and lets you moss and plant each part before it goes together. Every frame is bent by hand, so the measurements run close rather than exact and no two horses are identical. Made in 3 sizes, from 17 inches to 72×81 inches. Smaller sizes ship from the workshop and can be ordered directly; the larger pieces travel by freight, so we quote the piece and its delivery together.
