Preserved Juniper Globe Topiary, 36 inch

A 36-inch sphere of preserved juniper, taken from a live plant and preserved rather than moulded from plastic or silk. The difference shows close up: preserved foliage keeps the fine needled texture and the depth of colour of the original, so the surface breaks up light the way a clipped juniper does instead of reading as one flat green. It takes no water, no trimming and no daylight, which puts it in rooms where a live globe will not survive. Entrance halls, lobbies with no windows, dining rooms set away from the glass, offices, hotels and shops. At 36 inches across it is a floor piece rather than a table one, and it fills a large room without needing anything else around it. A matched pair either side of a doorway or an opening is the usual arrangement. It comes in a standard planter’s pot, which most buyers drop straight into a decorative container.
