Care for Sphagnum Moss & Wire Frames

Frame or wire mesh visible: Some areas will be visible given the process of how the frames are constructed and stuffed with moss. If a large area is visible, then it can be repaired by fluffing the moss or filling in with additional moss.

Dented area: This can be pulled back into shape by grabbing the wire mesh and gently pulling it. Any empty space between the wire mesh and moss can be filled with additional moss.

Brown spots/lines along the wire: These areas are where moisture and soil have settled. Rinse the area with water and it should wash away.

How to fill in areas with additional moss: Add moisture to the moss that will be used for stuffing/repairing until it has a soft and fluffy texture. This will make it easier to fill in the frame and take shape. Push the moss through the holes in the wire mesh until the mesh is no longer visible

Green Look on the Moss: To have a green look for the moss, you need to apply moss green spray to the moss at least once a year.Learn more about moss green spray bottles  or a 4 liter bottle.
